- On the bulletin board, there's an old piece of yellowed paper - the ink in the last part of the quest instruction is smeared and is unreadable.

- "This request is from a boy in Augustine Village - looks as if he was in a hurry and spilled the ink. The situation needs urgent attention." The nearby clerk adds.
- "As you can see from the request, this place - Panther's Lair - is where a group of notorious bandits are hiding."
- "Not long ago, these same bandits attacked Augustine Village, pilfering food, and killing many of the villagers."
- "The letter states that the bandits abducted the boy's sister, Ally, and that her father has gone out to Panther's Lair to try and rescue her. Worried for the safety of his brother and sister, Al also shortly after he posted this request, he went to Panther's Lair after them."
