A tremendous power sleeps within the Lance's mark. It is capable of harnessing the elemental powers of fire, ice, lightning, and darkness. Once awakened, these ancient powers will suppress all those who stand against the wielder.
Whenever a skill is used, you will earn a Mark of Flame or Mark of Ice, depending on the type of skill. Once three marks are bestowed upon the sealed tablet, the true terrible power of the lance can be unleashed in the form of ultimate moves.

Combo system[]
Whenever a Lancer skill is used, a Mark of Flame or Mark of Ice will appear on the stone tablet. The stone tablet is visible on the UI and is linked to the skill Mark's Awakening. Once there are three marks on the tablet, a special skill can be used depending on the combination:
Three Fire summons: Blood Lance - Soul Reincarnation
Two Fire and one Ice summons: Demon Lance - Hymn of Doom
One Fire and two Ice summons: Thunder Lance - Sudden Death
The Fire and Ice summons' duration was reduced from 30 seconds to 15 seconds.
Etymology[]
A lancer was a type of cavalryman who fought with a lance. Lances were used in mounted warfare by the Assyrians as early as 700 BC and subsequently by Greek, Persian, Gallic, Han-Chinese, nomadic and Roman horsemen. The weapon was widely used in Asia and Europe during the Middle Ages and the Renaissance by armoured cavalry, before being adopted by light cavalry, particularly in Eastern Europe. In a modern context, a lancer regiment usually denotes an armoured unit.
