- You tell Alex about Lucas' death, including the involvement of the Sarpa and the Shadow Knight.
Alex
- Alex's expression changes dramatically at the mention of the Shadow Knight; he doesn't let you finish.
- "We need to get in there and figure out what's going on! The Sarpa can speak, eh? Maybe they can tell us about the Shadow Knight!"
Envoy
- You're surprised by Alex's sudden ferocity. You have to rein him in, as Anya asked you to keep him from taking careless action.
Alex
- "So... what? I'm supposed to wait here and do nothing? I guess Anya is in charge..." Alex smiles bitterly. He is definitely unhappy.
- "Fine. I'll stay here. You, though... I'll trust you to deal with the Sarpa, <Envoy>. I'll assign you some soldiers, you take them to the Sarpa Abyss and take care of the problem!"

- Well... What Alex asks doesn't conflict with Anya's order. You agree to his request.

- "The Sarpa actually know how to set traps? I thought they were too stupid to do that... What's going on here?" Alex seems distressed.
Anya
- "Alex, this happened because you were too impulsive! I told you to wait!" Anya reprimands Alex.
- "You need to calm down. When a commander gets too emotional, their soldiers are going to get killed."
