- "Curse these desert beasts, busting up our blowpipe scheme. I worked so hard on those blowpipes! I even tried to figure out other ways to shoot our darts, but nothing else would really work."
Haas
- "If all you need is a hollow tube, we might be able to use the shafts of Moa feathers to make blowpipes. Maybe our plan can be salvaged after all."
Merle
- "That's it! Sometimes you actually come up with something impressive, kid. We'll clean some Moa feathers and find the best quills to make new blowpipes."
Haas
- "Wait, haven't I been totally resourceful and impressive all along? I only have to butt in all the time because you never bother asking my opinion."
Merle
- Merle rolls his eyes at Haas. "Bah, whatever. Anyway, let's have <Envoy> be in charge of bringing back Imperial Moa quills. I'll get all the tools set up to strip the shafts and turn them into pipes."

- "Alright, you've got the Imperial Moa feathers, right? Don't forget to strip them down to the shaft, otherwise we won't be able to tell which ones would make the best blowpipes."

Envoy
- You hand Merle the stripped quills that you gathered. Hopefully, at least one of them will be good enough to be made into a blowpipe.
Merle
- "Ah, <Envoy>, these quills are all nearly perfect for making blowpipes out of. However, we really only need one of them..."
- "Well, at least we have backups in case we botch our blowpipe making! Let's get to work!" Merle takes out his tools and begins to fashion the quills into blowpipes.
Haas
- "Um..."
Merle
- "Hmm? What is it, Haas?"
Haas
- "Um...if...if only one quill is used... Can I have the rest of them?"
Merle
- "You just want to sell them, huh?! Is money all you think about! Fine, whatever, you can have the extras!" Merle huffs in frustration while busily crafting the blowpipe.
