To be more specific, the anglicization of Sigrun's name is most likely based on [[Wikipedia:Sigrún|Sigrún]], a Valkyrie who had a mutual yet tragic relationship with the hero [[Wikipedia:Helgi Hundingsbane|Helgi Hundingsbane]].
